近年の釧路湿原をとりまく丘陵地などの開発により、湿地内に土砂の流入が進んでいます。このため、ハンノキ林の増大や乾燥化が問題となっています。湿原の賢明な利用のため、早急に次の対策の確立が必要と考えています。

１．湿原に関する継続的な調査研究

２．河畔林の保護と復元

３．急傾斜地の草地化抑制

４．広葉樹林の保護と復元

５．森林施業にあたっての択伐方式の実施

６．河川への土砂流入防止対策

７．流路の連続性の確保（魚類の移動障害の除去）

The development of the surrounding marsh areas caused an inflow of soil and sand into the marsh. As a result, an increased number of alder trees are growing in the marsh. Another problem is the marsh becoming drier is considered a problem for marsh conservatoion. Amidst all the talk of the "wise use of a marsh", a prompt solution to conserve the marsh is needed. It is our hope that we consider the following.

1.  A continuous scientific research studies about marsh 

2.  The preservation restoration of riverside trees

3.  The prevention of the steep slopes surrounding the marsh turning into the grassland.

4.  The preservation and restoration of broad-leaved trees 

5.  The implementation of the felling operation for a healthier forest

6.  The implementation of erosion control 

7.   Ensuring connectivity in rivers (remove migration barriers for fish)
